Wesley Rono from Kuresoi South Nakuru in Kenya said his wife told him in December 2020 that she was pregnant with their first child, she was delighted with the news without knowing it was empty gossip.
According to The Standard, Rono, a big businessman in Kuresoi, said he decided to throw himself into the cat and mouse game.
Rono said Patricia would be upset every time she tried to rub her belly, which she used to cover every day to make her look pregnant.
"I found out that my wife was wearing clothes on her stomach and she wouldn't let me touch her, I would try to touch her, she would be upset and provoke an argument, I was paying for her going to the clinic as well," Rono said.
Nine months later, Patricia told her husband that she needed money to pay for the baby's basic needs and also to pay for hospital bills after giving birth.
Patricia left home on August 8 saying she was going to the hospital to give birth and she would tell her every incident, sadly, the woman called her and told her that she had given birth to a baby boy.
"Her courage to tell the truth shocked me, I don't think any woman can give birth and in as little as 30 hours she should get to Matatu," said Rono.
Rono added that Patricia went to their home to recover first, returned to her a few days later with the baby, who according to Rono appeared to be about four months old.
Rono did not find peace in his heart, he decided to report to the police suspecting that his wife may have bought the baby.
"My wife forged everything, she tried every trick to fool me, here I can never forgive her," he added to the Spirit.
Patricia admitted to buying the baby, saying that she had given the child trafficker the seeds of the tree as a payment.
