A retiree in Germany has been convicted of possession of a firearm after being found in possession of a large personal weapon, including a rhinoceros.
The 84-year-old has been sentenced to 14 months in prison and ordered to pay a fine of £ 213,469.
Officials found a rhinoceros and other military equipment during World War II at the old man's residence in the town of Heikendorf in 2015
The military helped remove the equipment.
On Monday, a court ordered that the suspect, whose name has not been released because of German privacy law, must sell or distribute the tank and anti-aircraft weapons to be placed in a museum.
According to the defendant's lawyer, the US museum department intends to buy the rhino.
Many American historians say it was the best device used by Germany during World War II.
The lawyer said that officers gathering German military equipment wanted other weapons such as guns and pistols, the country's media reported.
City officials raided his residence in 2015 after receiving information about the property owned by the retiree, a statement from fellow Berlin staffers, who had earlier raided his home in search of a stolen painting after the Nazi era.
About 20 soldiers spent nine hours removing the rhino from the retiree's residence
Local media reported that the man had been spotted one winter using a rhinoceros as an ice hoe.
