TELEPHONE CHARGES INFRINGE THE CONSTITUTION OF THE COUNTRY

Of Bishop Benson Kalikawe Bagonza's pen.

The new rates of transaction fees violate the country's constitution. Whether it is the current Constitution, the proposed new Constitution or that of the Warioba. They are all trampled in the following ways:

1. They interfere with freedom of communication. Freedom of assembly these days is achieved through communication. People are forced to keep in touch. The Constitution provides for freedom, the charges remove it.

2. These charges have merged the two pillars (parliament and government) against citizens and consumers. The Constitution separates these two pillars. Charges have merged. It is unconstitutional. The MPs have agreed with the government to exploit the people. Who is the advocate for the people?

3. Charges take away people's security and their money. People are forced to use "cash" instead of sending it through networks. People are forced to look like they are wasting money or undermining the economy. The government is collaborating with mobile networks to sabotage and squander money.

4. The Constitution states that the powers of parliament and government are derived from the people. Parliament and the government are the servants of the people. These charges change this flow and make parliament, government and telephone companies above the people. This is "treason" against the authority of the people.
