The decision to endorse Tanzania's candidature to host the 65th session was passed on 2nd September 2021 by the 64th meeting of the UNWTO commission for Africa in Sal, Cabo Verde.
The meeting is expected to bring together 54 Ministers of Tourism from African countries and other potential stakeholders in the industry, including famous global investors in tourism. The meeting is also expected to foster Tanzania's tourism and its touristic attractions.
The delegation from the United Republic of Tanzania to the 64th UNWTO Commission for Africa meeting in Cabo Verde, is led by Hon. Dr. Damas Ndumbaro (MP), Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism.
In addition to endorsement of its candidature to host 65th session of the commission, Tanzania was also elected a member of the Program and Budget Committee (PBC).
