An Anglican priest from Nigeria has reportedly resigned as a priest of the Anglican Communion because of the shenanigans under his nose.
At a press conference held in Awka, Anambra State, detailing the reason for his decision, Reverend Canon LumenCristi Eboh alleged that some church forces had pushed his wife to leave him and lodged her in an undisclosed location. He accused his diocesan bishop of witch-hunting, land grabbing and an attempt to force him to become a board member of God in Action Adoration Ministry, a ministry he founded privately.
The report, as published on Instblog9ja, also accused the bishop of insisting that the list of registered administrators of his personal ministry be changed to include the bishop and his wife, a condition he resisted on the grounds that God did not reveal the bishop to him as a vessel in the ministry.
He said: "As I speak, my wife lives apart in an apartment paid for by someone who knows she is someone's wife. I am only a priest authorized by my communion to enter the sacred institution of marriage. As a married man, I had very private moments with my wife and we shared some endearing words. With the crash of my marriage, I sought to reorganize my life, but those who fight me even sent young women here in order to use the prospects of marriage to defame my person and my reputation."
